This year's Tin Hau Festival falls on Frinday 27 April 2019.  Tin Hau is the English transliteration based on the common Cantonese name of Mazu, the Chinese patron goddess who is said to protect seafarers, such as fishermen and sailors.

Day 01 Tin Hau Festival
Detailed Itinerary:
Mazu is widely worshiped in the coastal regions of China.  This year's Tin Hau Festival falls on Frinday 27 April 2019.  There are over 90 Tin Hau temples in Hong Kong, local people celerate Tin Hau's birthday everywhere.  

Hotel pickup time is between 07:30 to 08:15.  Autual pickup time will be given at the time of reservation.

Tour starts at a visit to Lam Tsuen Wishing Tree, then we will watch the Tin Hau Festival Celebrations at Yuen Long Stadium and ends at Tin Hau Temple at Tai Shu Ha.

Visit Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees 
Reserved seating at the Yuen Long Stadium to watch the spectacular procession of dragon dances, lion dances and Chinese acrobats.

Colourful fa pau watch (floral wreath) at the Tin Hau Temple
Transfer safely back to hotels

LAM TSUEN WISHING TREE 
A big banyan tree that is popular among local villagers who come to burn joss sticks and make wishes under it.

TIN HAU FESTIVAL CELEBRATIONS
It is hosted in Yuen Long Stadium. In the reserved seating area, you will watch a colourful procession of dragon dances, lion dances, Chinese acrobats, floats and other performances.

TIN HAU TEMPLE
Visit Tin Hau Temple at Tai Shu Ha where you'll see a display of elaborate and giant far pau (floral wreath), which villager believe will bring good luck and protection.
