Hong Kong Macau and Giant Buddha 3 Days Tour

Detailed Itinerary: Our English speaking tour guide will pick you up between 07:50 to 08:10.  Every day, we pickup from 100+ hotels in Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.  You will take our coach to ferry terminal, take 1 hour ferry to Macau.  
The tour ends at 4pm.  We will be transferred to Macau Ferry, you can choose option 1 to  take 5pm ferry to Hong Kong, and then take coach back to your hotel, or option 2 to take 10pm ferry back to Hong Kong. (At 16:30, take free hotel shuttle bus from Macau Ferry to Venetian Macao.  Free shuttle bus leaves every 15 minute.  At 21:00, take free bus back to Macau Ferry.  At 23:00, take a taxi back to hotel at own cost).  Please tell us if you choose option 1 or option 2 on reservation.

Upon your arrival in Macau, your sightseeing tour begins with several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. 

Attraction Details 

TEMPLE OF A-MA (UNESCO HERITAGE)
The temple was built 400 years ago in homage to a girl who saved A seamen's life. The temple is one of the most famous Taoist temples.  Macau was later named by the Portugese settlers in mid-16th Century. This temple has become a World Heritage in 2005.

RUINS OF ST. PAUL'S
In the heart of the old city stands the great carved stone facade of St. Paul's, which, with the grand staircase, are all that remain of the first church and Colleague of the Jesuits in China.  Designed by an Italian Jesuit, the church was built in the early 17th century.  In 1835 a fire destroyed all but the facade.

NA TCHA TEMPLE (UNESCO HERITAGE)
This Chinese traditional styled temple known as Na Tcha Temple was built for worshipping Na Tcha (a mythical character). The temple was enlisted as a World Heritage in 2005. The temple is located just behind the Ruins of St. Pauls. 
　     
SECTION OF THE OLD CITY WALLS (UNESCO HERITAGE)
This surviving segment of City Wall was built in 1569. It is a remnant of an early Portuguese tradition of constructing defensive walls around their port settlements. It was enlisted as a World Heritage in 2005.
    　
MOUNT FORTRESS (UNESCO HERITAGE)
The fortress was Macau's principal military defense structure which was built in conjunction with the Jesuits form 1617 to 1626. The fortress covers an area of 10,000 square metres and is in the shape of a trapezoid. It has became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005.
MACAU TOWER (Admission on own expenses)
 Soar to a breathtaking 223 meters above the ground. Macau Tower offers you a different vision of the entire city. Gaze out over to Cotai Strip, look for Macau's landmarks and historical sites all in one spot. 

It offers the best view of Macau and has been awarded "Best Theme Attraction in Asia Pacific" for 2005 & 2006 by TTG Asia – Macau Tower. For those with fear of heights, there are also souvenirs shops, Mocha clubs (machine based casino gaming) and coffee shops located at the ground floor.

CASINO
Casinos in Macau offer a large variety of casino games that give versatile entertainment to visitors. Try your luck! No picture taking is allowed inside the Casino.   We will visit SANDS CASINO.

Some of our clients do not want to enter into the casino due to personal or religious reason.  It is OK.  Kindly remind you this is a group tour, the casino visit is included in the itinerary.  Those who do not enter the casino can rest outside the casino and wait.

Detailed Itinerary: Our tour guide will pick you up at hotel lobby at around 09:00AM and begin 360 Lantau Explorer Tour.   Our tour ends at Tung Chung MTR station at 5pm, you will take MTR to airport by yourself (2 stations from Tung Chung).  Highly recommend you to book a flight leaving after 8pm.

You will be transferred to Tung Chung by coach. take Cable Car to Ngong Ping. The 5.7km cable car journey offers visitors spectacular 360 degree panoramic views of South China Sea, Hong Kong International Airport, Lantau North Country Park and the World's tallest outdoor bronze Buddha statue - Tian Tan Buddha.

Free time to walk around Tian Tan Buddha and the Museum beneath the Buddha, the Po Lin Monasteryand enjoy a great vegetarian meal there. 

Take coach to Tai O, a quaint fishing village where the houses are on stilts, take a boat ride to explore the village.

Take carble down the mountain. Our service ends at Tung Chung MTR station at 5pm.  You will go to Hong Kong airport by MTR by yourself.  Please take MTR Tung Chung to Tsing Yi, change Airport Express Line from Tsing Yi to airport.

NGONG PING CABLE CAR
Ngong Ping Cable Car connects Tung Chung and Ngong Ping. The 5.7km cable car journey offers visitors spectacular 360 degree panoramic views of South China Sea, Hong Kong International Airport, North Lantau Country Park and Giant Buddha.

CRYSTAL CABIN
We only include standard cabin ticket for cable car ride. You can upgrade to crystal cabin by paying a small extra cost on site. Equipped with a glass bottom, the all new Ngong Ping 360 Crystal Cabin is designed to feast your eyes with an astonishing bird's eye view. Feel the magic of the boundless sea and the rolling grassland slopes right underneath your feet.

TIAN TAN BUDDHA
It is located at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, a large bronze statue of a Buddha Amoghasiddhi, also known as big buddha, completed in 1993.

The Buddha is 34 metres (112 ft) tall, weighs 250 tons. You need to climb 268 steps to reach the Buddha, there is a small winding road to the Buddha for vehicles to accommodate the handicapped.

PO LIN MONASTERY
Know as the "Buddhist Kingdom in the South". Po Lin Monastery is the most popular Buddhist temple in HK. The world's largest outdoor Buddha at the Po Lin Monastery becomes a site of Pilgrimage and is visited by Buddhists' from all over the world.

MUSEUM BENEATH THE BUDDHA
There are 3 floors beneath the Buddha statue: The Hall of Universe, The Hall of Benevolent Merit, and The Hall of Remembrance. One of the most renowned features inside is a relic of Sakyamuni, consisting of some of his alleged cremated remains.

NGONG PING VILLAGE
It is set on a 1.5 hectare site on Lantau Island, adjacent of Ngong Ping Cable Car Terminal and the Tian Tan Buddha Statue. This amazing cultural themed village has been architecturally designed and landscaped to reflect the cultural and spiritual integrity of the Ngong Ping area.

VEGETARIAN LUNCH AT PO LIN MONASTERY
At the Po Lin Monastery, here you will be served a Chinese Vegetarian cuisine which is a culture heritage from ancient China. Po Lin Monastery is famous for providing high quality Buddhist vegetarian cuisine in Hong Kong. Nowadays, the chefs can prepare the vegetarian food with a taste similar to typical Chinese cuisine.

TAI O FISHING VILLAGE
After lunch, we will take coach to Tai O, once the largest inhabited settlement on Lantau Island. The village's stilt houses on the waterfont, offer a glimpse into Hong Kong's past and provide a striking contrast with the modern city.

THE STILTS HOUSE
A free boat trip ride to cruise around the old fishing village is included. An highlight of the cruise is the stilts house, unusual, interconnected structures on water that form a tightly-knit fishing community for villagers to live in.
