Beijing Dongsi Hutong Museum Opened
Dongsi Hutong Museum was officially opened to the public on 19th October. The museum is located in Dongcheng District and covers an area of over 1,000 square meters. The museum is made up of a 28 room courtyard and dates back to 1940s and is divided into five exhibition areas. The Dongsi Museum took three years to renovate the traditional courtyard and transform into a museum. Residents of the neighbourhood donated several items to the museum. Hutongs are a fundamental part of Beijing's culture and a symbol of old Beijing.
