15-Day Visa-Free Policy will Put into Practice at Shanghai Port
The 15-Day Visa-Free Policy will put into practice at Shanghai International Port since October 1, 2016, which has been officially announced by the State Council.
This policy allows the whole foreign tourist groups (including 2 people and the above) on cruise to enter Shanghai International Port and travel in the coastal cities or provinces around and to Beijing for up to 15 days. The coastal cities or provinces includes Shanghai, Liaoning, Hebei, Tianjing, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi and Hainan.
It is reported that the oversea tourist groups must be arranged by registered tourism agencies of China, then the local travel agencies must submit the name list of members of foreign tourist groups before their arrival, then get approval for entry into Shanghai from the Shanghai General Station of Immigration Inspection.
This new policy will be a perfect chance for Shanghai’s cruise tourism industry to attract more and more oversea tourist groups cruising to Shanghai as well as coastal cities or provinces around, making a further development for Chinese cruise tourism industry.The implement of this 15-Day Visa-Free Policy will be also beneficial for travel agencies at home to design much more new and competitive tourism products, improving the attraction of Shanghai’s first-level tourism resources like Shanghai Disneyland, promoting the progress of the catering, transportation and hospitality in Shanghai.
